The Lamm Lumber Company was founded in 1914 by W.E. Lamm in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The company operated several mills and logging camps in the Klamath County region, including in Eagle Point, Kirk, and Modoc Point. The Lamm Lumber Company owned tracts of timber alongside the Upper Klamath Lake in the Odessa watershed region. The sawmill at Modoc Point, on the east side of the lake, was constructed ca. 1916. In 1932, a box factory would also be built at this site. Like many Klamath County logging operations, a large portion of timber came from the Klamath Indian Reservation. In his book "Lumbering in Klamath", Lamm estimates that between 1918 and 1930, the Reservation provided just about half of all logs sawed in Klamath County. W.E. Lamm died in 1947.
